Welcome Tattoo is excited to announce its upcoming event about the history of traditional tattoo flash. The History of Tattoo Flash by CW Eldridge from the Tattoo Archive will be held at Welcome Tattoo, 316 West Greer Street, Suite B, on July 18, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Perfectly Imperfect Pups (PIPs) Animal Rescue, a rescue focusing on dogs with medical and special needs.
North Carolina native CW Eldridge is the founder of the Tattoo Archive and started tattooing in the mid-1970s with Ed Hardy at the original Tattoo City. Eldridge currently lives in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and spends much of his free time searching for more historical tattoo material. He still runs the Tattoo Archive in downtown Winston Salem. The Tattoo Archive is a working shop offering custom tattooing. His articles have appeared in many U.S. and overseas publications, including National Tattoo Association, Skin & Ink Magazine, Tattoo Master Magazine, Tattoo Artist Magazine, and Tattoo International.
